To the good people of Coos County,
The Committee to Preserve the Second Amendment hasan obligation to make it known that on February 17, 2015; Commissioner Bob Main proposed a resolution that would prevent county funds and resources to be used in enforcing the tyrannical and unconstitutional SB 941.
(Visit Oregon Firearms Federation webpage for details) It is the same so-called law that our honorable Sheriff Zanni will not enforce.
"All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void." - Marbury v Madison 1803. See also the Supremacy Clause U.S. Constitution Article VI Clause 2.
The resolution had overwhelming citizens support but regardless,Commissioner Sweet adamantly refused to vote in favor of it, quoting, "I don't feel comfortable voting other peoples conscience on this matter.” The commission then scheduled a work session for May 13th to discuss it further.
Commissioner Main and many resolution supporters were present for the work session but it was cancelled just two and a half hours beforehand because both Commissioners Sweet and Cribbins did not attend.
The very next day, Governor Brown signed SB 941 into law.
Draw your own conclusion, but one could surmise that our attempt to pass the resolution was intentionally sabotaged in order to allow the passage of SB 941.
Obviously Commissioner Sweet does NOT honor his sworn oath to support and defend the U.S. or Oregon Constitutions. Not only is this offensive and cowardly, it's downright illegal! See Oath of Office U.S. Constitution Article VI Clause III and Oregon Constitution Article XV Section 3.
Infuriated citizens decided to initiate a recall of Coos County Commissioner John Sweet which was then filed on July7th.
It's truly sad to know that our forefathers used the rifle to do what he won’t even do with the pen. What an insult to their honor for what they and theirs sacrificed for all of us!
Since he refuses to interpose tyranny and stand for our liberties, we the people must do it ourselves then remove him from office.
The right to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed~by anyone.
