The Committee for More Choices in Bandon is a new committee that has refiled an Initiative Petition in
the City of Bandon that  the Committee for More Citizen Representation had filed last year.

The More Choices in Bandon amendment would allow people who own property within the city boundary, but live outside the city limits, to run for the office of Mayor or the city council, as long as they live within the Bandon School District twelve months immediately preceding the election.
It does not change the law providing that only City residents may vote in an election for City elected officials
assuring that Bandon residents keep their authority over the city’s public offices.

Nonresident property owners would receive more representation
and city residents might get more choices in the city elections.

It is a win-win for everyone.
