The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is reminding municipalities to use the latest construction standards when building sewer systems. The DEQ requires all sewer systems to meet specific standards. When reviewing such projects, the agency uses the most current version of the Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction and
the Oregon Standard Drawings, which are developed by the Oregon Department of Transportation and the American Public Works Association. The current standards are dated 2015. The DEQ recommends municipalities adopt these 2015 standards and update their standard details and specifications as
appropriate.
