Today the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service signed the Record of Decision for issuance of a permit under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act for an experiment to test the effects of barred owl competition on northern spotted owl populations through removal of barred owls from select study areas. The Record of Decision and associated materials can be downloaded from our website :
