Lake Oswego council could repeal Foothills urban renewal district: Clackamas County Roundup
The recently approved urban renewal district for the Foothills area could be dissolved next month after the Lake Oswego City Council on Tuesday set a public hearing that will address getting rid of it.
The district got the go-ahead at the previous council’s last meeting of the year in December, just weeks before the new council -- one with a majority of councilors who oppose urban renewal for the Foothills area -- took over.
The district was set up to fund infrastructure improvements in the 107-acre Foothill District that would hopefully spur private development in the area.
