The I Spy Radio Show
Saturday, 11a.m.- noon (West Coast time).
Listen live on KYKN (1430-AM) or, if you’re outside of the Salem (Oregon) listening area, go to www.kykn.com and hit the listen live button.
Dr. Nickolas Drapela, Senior Instructor at OSU, with a Special Guest Appearance
George Taylor, Retired Climatologist
In 1933, Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels decided to bring professional and cultural organizations in line with Nazi ideology—meaning getting rid of any messages that disagreed with the regime. He convinced the
Student Associations and universities to join in and on May 10, 1933, the university students burned more than 25,000 volumes of “un-German” books. These included so-called “corrupting foreign influences” by American authors Ernest
Hemmingway, Jack London, and Helen Keller.
This week on the I Spy Radio Show, we’re talking about dissent. Not Nazi Germany, but Oregon State University. We interview Dr. Nick Drapela, whose contract wasn’t renewed, he believes, because of his views on global warming, which run contrary to the “party line” at OSU. First George Taylor, then Art Robinson’s kids, and now Nick Drapela. Tune in to hear his chilling account and to hear why his firing wasn’t just about dissent. The answer will shock you.
That’s Saturday, 11 to noon, West Coast time on the I Spy Radio Show. Join us as we get a little more intelligence on Big Government—or in this case, “Big University.”
Have you heard our very popular “I Spy Minute,” aired weekdays at 10:00 a.m. during
KYKN’s peak listenership?
We’re looking for personal and corporate sponsorships to help keep these educational and informative minutes on the air. Are you a business owner (or know one) that would like “prime real estate” to advertise? We have two :30 ad spots following the I Spy Minute available, but you need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org or
email@example.com to take advantage of these.
The show will be aired on KYKN(1430-AM), this Saturday at 11:00 a.m., West Coast time. If you’re
outside of the Salem listening area, just go to www.kykn.com and hit the listen live button. Busy on Saturday? Not a problem. After the show airs, you can go to our webpage www.ispyonsalem.com and download it from our “past shows” page.
