Important Message from Campaign for Liberty
What you read. What you buy. What videos you watch. And what you write about THEM.
The astonishing, Constitution-shredding revelations out of D.C. over the past few weeks should chill you to the
bone.
The federal government is clearly out of control, as it tracks your phone calls, seizes your email communications, and monitors everything you post online.
And soon, the U.S. House may be voting on the misnamed “Marketplace Fairness Act.”
Do not be fooled. This bill is not about fairness.
And it isn’t just about taxes, either.
It's about your privacy. And it's about killing small businesses.
When the bill was steamrolling through the Senate, it seemed unstoppable. But your efforts have dramatically impeded progress on this bill.
In fact, there is a very real chance we can stop it in the House.
Recently, Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie penned a letter to House leadership opposing the Internet sales tax and asking them not to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.
Campaign for Liberty worked to get as many Representatives as possible to go on record against this tax by signing the Massie letter.
Rep. Peter DeFazio signed the letter, and he is now under intense pressure from those who want to milk the taxpayer for every last cent they can get.
I hope you’ll call Rep. Peter DeFazio at (202) 225-6416 right away -- thank him for publicly opposing the bill, and politely ask him to continue to stand firm in opposition to the Marketplace Fairness Act.
Together, you and I CAN defeat the Internet sales tax, but you must take action now!
