To: Katy
Oregon Cattlemen’s Association Members,
Please contact Governor Kitzhaber’s Natural Resources Policy Director, Richard Whitman at 503-378-5145 or at [email protected] and request the Governor appoint Ms. Bobby Levy as chair of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Ms. Levy is well known and respected as a land owner and member of the Fish & Wildlife Commission who understands the diverse challenges attributed to managing the state’s wildlife, and the important role that private landowners play in providing habitat and access. Very importantly, she understands and appreciates the role hunter’s play in funding and managing the state’s wildlife programs.
Ms. Levy’s experience on the Commission has provided her the opportunity to work very closely with a broad range of stakeholders and she has a solid record seeking solutions that benefit wildlife and the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Most recently her personal outreach and engagement with all stakeholders involved in the state’s wolf management plan review was an example of her commitment to beneficial solutions for all involved. Furthermore, we have witnessed this commitment many times over during Ms. Levy’s tenure on the Commission.
At this time the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association believes Bobby Levy is the best prepared and most capable Oregonian for this position. We support her appoint as chair the commission.
Thank you,
Kay Teisl
