OWEB invites public feedback and discussion on the proposed direction for its Long-Term Investment Strategy for Conservation. The purpose of the Long-Term Investment Strategy is to identify how OWEB structures its grant portfolio to achieve its mission, priorities and ecological outcomes and to guide the Board’s programs and granting decisions. OWEB is engaged in a process to determine the direction of the investment strategy and is interested in your thoughts on the benefits and consequences of the proposed direction.
Briefly, the proposed direction is:
• Operating Capacity Investments - Continue these investments, with proposed changes
• Open Solicitation Investments - Continue these investments, with proposed changes
• Focused Investments - Continue these investments, with proposed changes and a gradual increase over time
• Effectiveness Monitoring and Reporting - Continue these investments, with proposed changes
• Emerging Issues - Develop a new competitive grant offering
