KEIZER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE VOICES ENDORSEMENT OF MEASURE 84 TO END THE OREGON DEATH TAX
October 24, 2012
Salem – The Keizer Chamber of Commerce, through their Economic Development and Government Affairs Division, has voted unanimously to endorse Measure 84 to End the Oregon Death Tax. The Keizer Chamber joins many other Chambers across the state of Oregon that endorse Measure 84. All of these Chambers have expressed extreme concern for the effects that the Oregon Death Tax will have on their members’ businesses, and are therefore voting YES on Measure 84.
The Chamber and its Economic Development and Government Affairs Committee has a history of close to 50 years of speaking as one voice on issues concerning private enterprise, competitive marketing, and the encouragement of innovative expansion and development of all segments of the community. Keizer’s Chamber
feels that this can only be accomplished by allowing businesses to flourish and expand without worrying about the Oregon Estate Tax, and how a business can cut costs and pay insurance, to prevent losing the business when the owner passes.
Over 50 organizations, and now the Keizer Chamber, form the YES on 84 Coalition that is working to eliminate the Oregon Death Tax. If you would like to assist the Coalition, please call 503.480.0523 or email [email protected]. With less than two weeks before Election Day, the Coalition welcomes assistance from other organizations, businesses, families, and individuals. Join the Coalition and the Keizer Chamber of Commerce with a VOTE of YES on Measure 84, to end the Oregon Death Tax.
