Robert McDonald is associate professor of history at West Point and an Adjunct Scholar for the Cato Institute. A keen observer of the power of free markets and a specialist on the early American republic, he is editor of Light & Liberty: Thomas Jefferson and the Power of Knowledge and Thomas Jefferson's Military Academy: Founding West Point. His lectures have been highlights of Foundation for Economic Education seminars and Cato Institute events.
Tom Palmer returns for his third Freedom Seminar appearance to edify and enlighten our audience. Currently Vice
President for International Programs at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, Director of Cato University, and Cato Senior Fellow, Palmer has devoted much of his life to trying to eradicate coercion and secure liberty for all. He is the author most recently of Realizing Freedom: The Theory, History, and Practice of Liberty and editor of The Morality of Capitalism. His mastery of the history of freedom and his engaging speaking style have captivated audiences around the world.
