On Page 131 it gives monthly salaries for various employee positions. On Page 132 look under "UR" at the top....it's to the right of the "Manager" column at the top. In that vertical column you will see numbers and percentage (%) signs. Those percentage numbers represent the percentage of their salary which comes from "Urban Renewal Funds." Here ya go... Land of Political Corruption
The Egyptian Theatre was built on filled in marshland in 1922. It was built as a car repair garage and was subsequently converted to a theatre in 1925.
The City of Coos Bay and it's Urban Renewal Agency (which are one and the same by the way)
Bought This Theatre with taxpayer dollars - and no inspection of the theatre prior to purchase was done.They plan to Restore it and are planning on spending millions of dollars doing it (They've already spent over a million dollars on it).
Let's see them raise it up, drive down new pilings underneath it, put a new foundation under it, then lower it down on the new foundation, eh? That one I GOTTA see!
In reality, it's just another way the local powers that be (and their friends) are using to suck more tax dollars from the people and pad their own pockets in the process. In plain english, it's called Political Corruption. And
of course, with the current laws and "legal system" we have in this country nowadays, it's all legal.
Don'tcha love it!
