- Wednesday, May 9th at 5:30PM in the Umpqua Rooms at the Red Lion Hotel, marks the time and place when the Coos County Chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP), holds its first meeting of the month. Joining us will be citizens, Rob Taylor and Don Chance, speaking on two different subjects: Urban Renewal Agencies and the Bandon Marsh Expansion. If you have a neighbor who hasn't been to one of our meetings, but is just as sick of being "sick and tired" of an out-of-control government as you are, bring them along. Order your meal as early as 5PM from several entrees on the menu. We'll plan to adjourn at 8PM.
- Our Coos Chapter training presentation that same evening will be a short video session on HOW TO BE A BUDGET DETECTIVE, by Jeff Kropf, former Director of AFP-Oregon and current Executive Director of Oregon Capitol Watch Foundation. Bring a notepad and be prepared to learn how to delve into and analyze public sector budgets.
- In addition, be aware of the first fiscal year 2012-2013 Budget Meeting for the Coos County Urban Renewal Agency scheduled for:

Hi:
The AFP Coos Chapter meeting on May 9th will NOT feature Jeff Kropf, in person, presenting, HOW TO
BECOME A BUDGET DETECTIVE. The notice should have made clear that the training will be a DVD video session of Jeff, recorded on February 1 of this year in Keizer, Oregon at a Citizen Watchdog seminar, and not a live presentation as was insinuated. If you have any questions, let me know.
Regards,
Rick Hoffine
