We won the vote with 70% of the people voting NO to the Bandon Marsh Expansion.

However, this is just a big victory in a much larger war for the rights of the people to keep their livelihood. The USFWS is going to keep up the pressure until the Service owns every inch of the Coquille Valley, therefore the fight continues until we have all of our demands met.
We need our supporters to keep the signs up on your private property and we will be getting more signs out to other people. If you need a sign please reply to this email and let me know, or you can use the contact information below. I do not like asking for money, but unfortunately, that is the fuel of all campaigns, so if you can afford to make a small tax deductable donation, please send it to “Coos County Today,” PO Box 2108, Bandon OR 97411, any amount will help.
Also, it would be very helpful if you would write a letter to the editors of the local newspapers. Make sure you point out the large margin of voters who do not support the expansion and remind them that this is a continuing battle. Remind the people to keep their signs posted in their yards, and in your letters, please ask the people to write their state and federal legislators for the same purpose.
We are going to need people to help us lobby our legislators in the Legislative Session of the New Year, so we can get a property rights bill passed that would help prevent these types of land grabs. We have been working with Kruse, Krieger, and Roblan on this issue and they are very well aware of the public’s opinion.
Thank you for all the hard work and tenacity to keep this issue alive. Our forbearers had so much to give to our generation in their tireless work of taming this wild land and now it is our turn to make sure future generations will have the same opportunities to make a living for their children. We owe it to them to pay it forward.
Sincerely,
Rob Taylor
